GOOGLE search engine...

If we type just good in the bar, it shows lot of options t choose like good morning good morning quotes and so on in just About 1,660,000,000 results (0.27 seconds) We just use it for free search, but its quite difficult for Google workers/engineers to manage all web page requests. Have ever we thought about how these 

engine works??!!

normally, we define engine in a mechanical way of approach is that "It's a main heart of the bike or car or any machine oriented". To engine it needs some inputs/fuels/requirements to work/to do something. 

fuel like petrol.diesel..etc..

But, What is needed for google SEARCH ENGINE to WORK??? 

It's otherwise called as Algorithms and Database..
